Stages of my Princess

Stages of my Sweet little Princess.. Days are flying so fast.. Wanna keep track of the sweetest moments of Divya :-)

Stage 1

The first photo of my Sweety.. If i look into it right now.. i feel she look so different in this.. May be it happens over time..
She was just 11 days old when this photo was taken. I was so thrilled of having her into my life during that time.. Each and every second was so precious.. For the first time in my life i hold a new born baby.. I still remember how i holded her for the first time after delivery.. Those moments can never be forgotten..

First cry of my baby keep ringing.. when i saw her face for the first time She was deep pink in color.. so soft.. had cute dimple in her cheeks.. When i firstly hold her she stopped crying..

She was born at 9.20 PM. i touched her around 9.40. She was taken away from me after that. That night was so special. Was experiencing each and every movement of her.. Though she was sleeping most of the time, she makes cute reactions for the sound and touch..

Stage 2:

The next stage is when she started to recognize the face. I still wonder how creative god is. The way the growth of a child has been planned and executed is so amazing.

It was a long gap after which we took a snap of her. She was around 3 months by that time. She can very well recognize the faces and can react well to sound.

She was very chubby.. she stayed calm and created no troubles.. She loves to listen to MLV songs.. I do sing for her at night times.. The prettiest thing is to see her yawn as soon as she hears the songs..

I call her as "Thangamma" as she is so precious to me. Whenever i call so she will give a sweet smile. She may not understand the meaning but still may understand the pattern.


This photo was taken when Sankar's friend was at home.


I was in a situation to join my work back by this time. Its very painful to leave the child and to go to work at this early stage. But still i was happy that she is to be cared by my parents. They were more caring than me. was waiting for her to lie on her tummy. Divya was late in all the things. Latea vandhalum latesta varuva en ponnu:-)...



Its a enjoyable sight to look at the way she sleeps. She turns towards one side and will lean a leg and a hand on myself and sleep.

She kick her legs so hard that the anklets of her sound so sweet. Thats the sign for me to recognise that she is awake. Started giving her eye exercises and made her listen to various music.

Stage 3:

She is around 4 months now. She started lying down on stomach.. It is so beautiful to see her so. She tries to lift her head up.

She started recognizing the speech and react accordingly. this was the photo taken by her chittappa when was here in bangalore before marriage. She was very chubby by this time.

Stage 4:


She is around five months when this photo was taken. She started moving and tried to crawl. Though she doesnt exactly crawl she can move from one place to another on her stomach.


Stage 5:


This was the photo taken in Karur when we went for brother in law's marriage. No one can stop her at this time. She crawls nicely. We started giving her external food by this time.


Divya with her Grandfather in Palani. It was Sankar's wish to go to palani after Divya's birth. We made it when we went to karur for brothers marriage. This was the one taken when we were waiting for skier.

Stage 6:


This photo was taken in Karur when we started to mandapam from home for marriage

Stage 7:

When i was about to leave symphony and join Oracle, i visited my old project team members in Symphony campus. She was lying down on the table in cafeteria and posing to Shashi for photo.

Stage 8:


This is the snap with her chithi and chithappa in Coimbatore when we had been there for a function. It was the day before the function when we are getting ready to go to then thirupathi

This was the snap which was taken in Kunnoor park. The photo consisting the whole family.

Stage 9:

For our new house Nila pooja happened on Vinayagar chadhurthi. Pudhu maapillai and ponnu came down to bangalore for virundhu at the same time. We dunno where to take them in bangalore for a day. atlast decided to go to bannergatta zoo.

This photo was taken inside the zoo.. Good that we carried the troller else it would have been more difficult for us to carry her.. Even she was free enough to move around and view things..

We got a new horse for her in Interior exhibition. It makes a cute sound when we pressed its ear. Divya loved it.. Though she cannot sit on it for a long time. She does play for sometime wit that. S loves raddling in that.. Wanted it take a snap of it. Will always postpone it and could make it yesterday(13th Oct).


She smiles so sweet and gave pose for the photo. Only after looking into the photo realized that she has grown up.

Divya started crawling so fast.. no one can catch her.. :-)

She stands on her own holding something.. she loves the sound that comes when she hits the door.. This snap was the one taken when she was holding the balcony door and looking at me..

We got her a walker and she tries walking on her own when she is in good mood ..

Stage 10:

Divya completed her 10 months now. She has grown up but became very thin. Became very naughty and never sits in a place nowadays. Nice to see her that way. No interest to have food at all. Paavam mom and dad struggling to feed her. Everyday is not the same. Each and every minute is different and special with her. I really wonder how she learn different things on her own. God's creation is excellent. This was the snap taken on my Bday (Oct 31st).

We are waiting to see her teeth. It just started emerging out.

Stage 11:

For Girl baby's there are quite many options for dressing. Though we wear many varieties of modern dresses they look cute on Paavadai Sattai. Myself and Sankar planned to get one for her birthday. Her chithi and chitthappa was so fast that they got one when we had been to thirupathi. We wore it once in temple and the next turn was this sunday (Nov 15). Wanted to take a snap of her in paavadai sattai. Simply made her wear that and took a photo. She was looking very pretty in this. Wanna take one more set this month :-)

November 16th...  one of the most precious day in my life. I was very unlucky that i was not able to watch Divya's first walk on her own. When i was back from office in the evening got to hear from dad that she was trying to walk on her own. I was waiting to see that. But dont wanna impose it on her. Finally at night she took around 4 steps on her own. I really dont know why tears pierced out of my eyes. That was an wonderful sight. Had a wonderful time with her that evening. We played together for so much time and slept when we both felt tired. Magalin mudhal nadai marakka mudiyadhadhu... Its one of the treasurable moment in my life.

Stage 12:

 Divya completed her 11 months. It was decided to take her to palani to offer her hair to Murugar as it was the custom followed in Sankar's house. We had been waiting for this day as we are thrilled to see how she will look without hair. Divya looks pretty with her curly soft hair. She use to enjoy the beauty herself in front of the mirror shaking her head to see the flow of her hair. That was a welcomed sight. This is the next stage in her life. December 20: One of the special day of my princess. She began to walk to her own continuously that day. Though she started taking few steps before some days, it was only today she started to walk on her own continuously. It was when we were sitting in the living room she started walking on her own from second bed room to our room. She was walking so casually. It was no nice to see that.

December 21:  Every day morning, till Divya wake up on her own i dont wake her up. The same happened today. I woke up and been to kitchen and Sankar was reading news paper outside. It was her usual habit that as soon as she wakes up she cries or call as amma. But today it was so surprising that she woke up, got down from bed on her own, took her milk bottles cap and came walking out of the room. Hearing the anklet's sound i recognized that she woke up and went to lift her. Was so surprised to see her walking out of the room on her own. Divya is growing up so fast. :-)

Jan 2nd: Its DD birthday... So soon she turned up 1 year.. we celebrated it in sankar's native Karur.. Started with the birthday preparations.. got her a new dress (Took around 2 hrs to select one).. ordered cake (No:1).. invited relatives for dinner.. started with decorating the house.. i got her a lotus candle from blore..
When it is about to 6 dressed her up and all set ready for the bday.. she was very happy to cut the cake..

Till the time the baloon which was tied with lamp was burst she was happy.. when it burst she started crying

Stage 13:

After a long gap of three months captured pic of DD. She is grown up now.. she can understand what we speak. Respond well to our commands. Started throwing tantrums and she is pretty naughty now. The toughest part is making her to eat food. She is very bad in having food. It is not the chubby DD she is now. Became very very thin..

I feel very pity to see how thin she is :-(.. much worried about it rather. Tried to give many a variety of food.. She is damn poor in eating. Someone always need to run behind her for food. I am damn sure this habit is inherited from her dad. Paavam sridevi need to run in back of both sankar and DD to make them feed for thier own survival.

She loves teddys'.. always room around carrying one in her had and hugging it all the time. Even while sleeping she want one near by her.. I love to see that but feel jealous sometimes when she kisses it many a time than kissing me :-D.. Love u sweety.. Enjoying each and every stage of yours.. Love u so much.. Waiting to hear ur mazhalai..

She can utter small words not but still couldnt form a phrase and speak yet.. waiting to hear it from her voice..


Had been to chennai last weekend (Apr 24-25). It was damn hot and couldnt go out anywhere. I wanted to visit Pondicherry once but unfortunately the trip was cancelled in the last moment. Met Rajee after two long years. Had been to her office, many known faces in office. Met Jayasree, she said that i have put on. Was little worried hearing that.
Started to Besant Nagar beach sat eve. It has been very long after i am visiting beach.. there were times when i used to visit beach daily.. hmmm... those were the days with no responsibilities.. no tension..


Divya was happyily roaming in the beach.. she loved the breeze and walking in sand..

Got her some toys.. there was some toy ride which she enjoyed a lot.. Myself and sankar was thinking that it is  a good hang out for DD.. We are truly missing it...
